Fort Clark Springs
In the Rio Grande Plain, west of San Antonio, on U.S. Highway 90, sits Kinney County. Its roughly square shape is bounded on the north by Edwards County, the east by Uvalde County, the south by Maverick County, and the west by Val Verde County and Mexico. Brackettville is the major town and the county seat. The county's 1,359 square miles are split evenly between the Edwards Plateau and the plains of the Rio Grande.
